Biosketch

 

Dr. Chiappelli obtained his Ph.D. degree at UCLA in 1986. He obtained his post-doctoral training in psychoneuroimmunology (mind/body interactions), and has been on the UCLA faculty since. Dr. Chiappelli has been teaching evidence-based dentistry for close to seven years. He gives Continuing Education courses on this topic, and provides research design, technique and data analysis consultation on the relevance of Mind/Body interaction in oral biology and medicine as part of the Psychoneuroimmunology Group, Inc. Dr. Chiappelli also holds the position of Health Science Specialist (GS-13) in the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC).
